Request for Use of Building

This form must be used to request use of any of the public areas of the Supreme Court building.

Use of Building Request Form

The Supreme Court building is public property and its public areas may be used by non-governmental groups only if the activity furthers a clearly identified public purpose. Examples include educational, informational, and historical programs.

Security Concerns:

  • The Supreme Court is a secure judicial facility. All uses by groups not directly associated with the business of the Court or the Office of State Courts Administrator must be under the direction and supervision of the Marshal’s Office.
  • All visitors will be required to pass through a metal detector. No guns, knives or other items construed as a weapon are allowed in the building.
  • No food or drinks are allowed in the Courtroom.

If the Marshal’s Office determines the requested use will require additional security or maintenance, the sponsoring group must pay that cost in advance. Any request to use the Supreme Court building after normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MUST be approved by the Chief Justice.

NOTE: The Florida Supreme Court Marshal's Office MAY ask for a list of persons participating in this event.
