Oral Argument Calendar, Press Summaries & Briefs

Oral arguments at the Florida Supreme Court are held once a month and open to the public. They also are broadcast live and archived for convenient access.

Like all American appeals courts, the Florida Supreme Court does not issue rulings in cases on the day of arguments. Rulings normally occur several months after arguments are finished.

Upcoming Oral Arguments (OA)

  • The Tentative Calendar with summaries for each month's cases is posted once available, usually within the week before arguments beginOral Argument Summaries are usually posted the Friday before the week of arguments. 
  • Yearly Schedule is available that shows tentative dates for future oral arguments as well as Court holiday schedules.
  • Briefs and other detailed information in all cases before the Court are accessible via the Online Docket. The online docket allows you to search for cases by case name, case number, and other criteria.
